Founded in 1927 in Lausanne, SICPA is a family-owned Swiss technology company with a presence
international leader in the market for security inks for banknotes, and a leading provider of secure authentication, identification, traceability and supply chain solutions.

Immersed in a transformation program, SICPA decided to commit to “ Move to SAP S/4HANA ” and implement a brownfield conversion guided by the best practices in the sector in 22 countries on 5 continents, with a team of more than 440 people.

It involved technical and organizational complexity, as well as a considerable workload in terms of
performance, while demonstrating that this transformation was a strong and competitive argument for change, as they have achieved impressive performance from this bespoke development, especially in R&D and the supply chain.

• The main objective was to ensure a successful conversion without losing existing functionalities and taking advantage of the implementation to introduce innovations.
• They held six-month requirements workshops led by SEIDOR, at the end of which they identified more than 80 value-added elements that were delivered as part of the project.
• They decided to carry out a brownfield conversion guided by the best practices in the sector.

• The core project team, which is also the management of the entire company, supervised, tracked progress, and took responsibility for delivering all necessary parts.
• Exhaustive test cases. They conducted three cycles of testing by teams from around the world, encouraging friendly internal competitions to complete the tests on time.
• Robust transition plan, which included more than 700 tasks to be executed by different teams around the world in seven days.
