Situation
- Complex file storage systems without a central access point are document silos that require a lot of maintenance and also slow down internal processes in your company enormously.
- As a sales representative, you often have to make revenue- and customer-focused decisions directly at the customer site. However, unrestricted document access, document maintenance, and establishing contact with your team slows down this process.
- As a member of a cross-departmental project team, your concern is to implement customer-specific requirements quickly and successfully. However, a wide variety of data silos and missing interfaces make collaboration difficult.
Challenges
- Maintaining multiple document silos is time-consuming and affects collaboration in project groups.
- Missing user rights on systems lead to the fact that documents are only shared to a limited extent.
- Missing interfaces between d.velop documents, CRM and ERP have a negative impact on internal processes and project progress.
- Document search leads to a short intervention in the usually focused way of working.
Solution Inovation
With the d.velop documents integration you connect your documents from your d.velop documents (DMS) directly with the Business Objects in your Sales & Service Cloud. Documents created in SAP can also be stored in d.velop documents. By transferring index/meta data, you also avoid unnecessary duplicates.
Value drivers
- Audit-proof storage of documents (files) directly in d.velop documents
- Smart document management directly in d.velop documents
- Automatic file creation via API call of created objects (e.g. of the prospect) or of a reached status (e.g. opportunity in d.velop documents)
- Direct linking of objects in the Sales & Service Core with records from d.velop documents
- The d.velop documents client (iFrame) is directly integrated into the SAP Sales & Service Core interface or can be called up in a dedicated web interface
- Index and meta data are transferred from the Sales & Service Core to d.velop documents and thus prevent unnecessary duplicates
